Summer Shenanigans

We traveled back to Missouri the end of  June to visit! Hazel had a blast playing T-ball with papa George!
Grandma Nancy made her this adorable pink dress! She showed it off at Grandma Shirley's retirement party....
Got to see Molina- can't believe how much she has grown, Hazel loves playing with her.
Shirley had lots of friends and family turn out for her retirement party- we got a few good pics with her and the kids :)

Hazel and Grandma Shirley bustin out moves on the dance floor
Hazel really came out of her shell and danced for like an hour straight- all eyes on her!
Back in Minnesota we helped little Emmalise celebrate her 2nd B-day!
Hazel the yogi, playing in the sun and water slide
Roxanne finding a cool place to hide out.

Hazel enojoyed having her cousins Nic and Nate over to play while the Noblitts were in town. Baby Nate is growing so fast- he was very vocale while he was here- letting us know he has a voice!
 Nicolas!
Those two girls are sassy- but Nic didn't' mind- he enjoyed playing anyway!
We enjoyed having the company- the Polleys, Schrams, Noblitts, and Hammers all over to visit!

Colorado 2012

We had the pleasure of traveling to Colorado in June to see our friends Marc and Bryn Young get married! We decided on a road trip and enjoyed seeing the landscape change state to state. We made lots of stops along the way really enjoyed our time in Colorado:

Looking over the deck at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs

Hazel making funny faces while daddy enjoys a microbrew....

Waiting for the cograil train to take us to the top of pikes peak- hazel was pumped for her first train ride!
Of course, she fell asleep just before we arrived at the top- the trip was about 90  minutes each way

Hazel is getting good at taking pictures :)
It was very cold and windy at the top- they only let you stay about 30 min then we headed back down the mountain.
Hazel is ready for a wedding!
The wedding was at beautiful Chautauqua Park in Boulder. The view for the ceremony was perfect and it was a perfect day!
Hiking in Chautauqua Park , the trail went right behind our cabin.

Sittin on a boot in Cheyenne, WI
More driving on our way to the Badlands National Park in SD
Our cabin in the Badlands was very nice- much nicer than I expected when I made the reservations for a 'historic' cabin.
We were very impressed by the Badlands- we had  never been there before, but hope we can come back again!

Easter Weekend

Making Birds Nests

Discovering the contents of the easter basket-. She was very excited for the necklace the Easter Bunny left her.

Hazel got baptized on Easter- she was very excited for it, then got a little shy when we were up in front of the church.

We had a yummy lunch- Ham, lamb, cheesy potatoes, strawberry angel food and home made dulce de leche ice cream!

Spring Updates

I apologize for the late update, and the fact these pics did not upload in the right order, but here is what we have been up to the last few months:
Alex and Hazel at the Twilight of the Triceratops exhibit at Quarry Hill

Hazel with Daddy and Grandma Shirley before her dance recital on St. Patrick's Day.

Hazel and Grandma Nancy in their matching robes. Grandma made this robe for Hazel.

The last weekend in February we got to visit the Noblitts; meet baby Nathaniel for the first time and help Nic celebrate his 4th  birthday at the Fire Station! Hazel is obsessed with babies- she has such a nurturing personality already!

The Noblitts

Hazel and Nic enjoyed swimming at our hotel pool that weekend.

Happiness is a juice box!

Hazel and Nic posing by one of the fire trucks. The kids really enjoyed looking at the trucks and gear at the fire house- it was an awesome B-day party!

Have you ever seen someone so sad to get to drive a fire truck?
