Milestones

Hazel rolled over for the first time on Thursday!

She is getting better at it, but hasn't figured out how to roll back over once she gets on her stomach. We were very excited! I haven't been able to catch it on video yet. She doesn't roll over on demand like Kessler and Cicero- haha!

Hooded towels are just too cute- I always want to take her picture when she is in one.

Hazel slept through the night both nights this weekend! I did wake up twice the first night and checked on her b/c I couldn't believe how long she was sleeping. She is now going about 12 hours at night, now if only I could sleep that much- we would be set.

Hazel is very observant! She is always checking out her surroundings. Just this week she has started to grab her toys and stick them in her mouth. It is amazing how overnight she does something new. I think cereal will be in the near future- Alex says she has been asking for Count Chocula, but I think we will start with rice cereal.

Grandpa George and Grandma Nancy got her this cool highchair for xmas. Check out the 5 pt harness on that thing- she's not going anywhere! No food yet, but for now she can lounge while mom and dad eat.

Hazel's First Christmas

Grandma Shirley bought Hazel this really cute outfit. She looked 'elf-like' with the pointy red hat on. My favorite part was the Merry Christmas across the bottom.

Notice her hair is finally starting to grow back in now that she spends more time on her side and belly. I think she will be rolling over any day now

Hazel really enjoyed watching the lights on our retro tree. She was mesmorized by the tree.

My new Trick

Hazel's new trick is sticking out her tongue! I think her Dad taught her this and she seems to be really good at it. She is constantly sticking her tongue out at me! Its very cute for now, but hopefully she will outgrow that one eventually.

Look how I've Grown!!

We have been so busy since Thanksgiving. I am back to work and Grandma Nancy has been here with Hazel. She is getting bigger everyday! She she is so vocal and giggly in the mornings I wish I didn't have to go to work. She has been talking to her Grandma all day long and Grandma is loving it!

Big Yawn!

Look how strong I am!

Making xmas cookies with mom, Aunt Laura and Great Aunt Mary!

Happy Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving twice this weekend! Alex fed Hazel her Thanksgiving dinner!

Hazel and I took a cat nap on the couch on Black Friday. We were up at 4:30 am, but not to do shopping!

Four generations! This is Hazel with her Grandma Nancy and her Great Grandpa Tom

Hazel with Grandma Shirley and Uncle Jim in the background.

Hazel had her first photo shoot with Uncle B. We were very thankful he drove down from Omaha to take pictures for us. She did well, but had a little meltdown from all the wardrobe changes. She was very tired and ended up sleeping through the outdoor pictures.

Oh, the laundry

Today Hazel wore her first pair of corduroys.... for about 20 minutes then we had a diaper blow-out! I can't believe how much she is changing everyday. She likes to 'talk' to us a lot in the mornings and we really enjoy those smiles...though we have yet to catch one on film!

In this picture I can see a little bit of a resemblance to cousin Nic- who Hazel is so excited to meet at Thanksgiving.

I was away on Saturday so Hazel and her Dad got to hang out. Can you see her bib says 'I love Daddy'? She took some nice long naps for her Dad. She is getting better at taking naps and still is able to sleep most of the night. I usually only get up twice with her. Alex is good about letting me sleep in and he takes over. I won't have that luxury much longer- only a little more than a week left of my maternity leave!
